Slow fishing at Haverhome many anglers only catching a single fish in the mid-week open match ,one fish winning it a 9lb 12oz carp , 9lb 10oz carp was 2nd with 6lb of silver fish bring in the 3rd place weight .

River Swale around Scruton and Morton is fishing extermly well with hungry chub throwing themselves at baited hooks.In a match on the Swale local anlger M Purdoe was the over all winner catching at at Scruton just above the jetty feeding three pints of red maggot in to his middle of the river swim ,fishing the stick float he banked 27 chub and 2 grayling for a terrific 94lb 1oz winning weight .

Steve Evans of Doncaster fished bread and wasp grub for his 73lb 15oz net of chub further upstream to pick up 2nd place , while S McCardle of Brotherton also enjoyed chub sport with a third placed 67lb during a match that saw 13 double figure weights.
