SHIMANO have release a new range of fixed spool reels for 2008.These reels don't just look elegant but mean the business in landing fish. Four models make up the range which are designed with a new screw-less construction around Shimano's benchmark SR-system components . The result is a range of groundbreaking features that push back the barriers of reel technology still further: , with a stunning magnesium body The magnesium alloy used to construct the STELLA reels is highly resistant to corrosion. The surface is further protected by a unique corrosion-resistant finish.

THE one-piece bail has no gap for line to snag on during normal operation. Made of Stainless Steel, it reduces friction and allows the line to quickly locate itself into the line roller.

The drive gear allows the surface of each tooth which as been contoured exactly to the tooth shape of the pinion gear, resulting in more surface contact between these components. This in turn means increased smoothness, torque, efficiency and durability.
